🐝 New Platform, Same Mission

Thanks to our partnership with Farm Ranger, Southern Africa’s leading Satellite Tracking Providor, each sponsor now sees their animal’s actual grazing route, updated daily, with GPS-tracked positions as they move through the bush.

Welcome to Our New Home on Beehiiv

Dear friends and supporters,

We want to take a moment to welcome you to our new newsletter platform, hosted here on Beehiiv. As many of you know, our work through ACHM and Holistic Hooves is deeply grounded in the principles of Holistic Management — principles that we believe are essential for restoring landscapes, strengthening communities, and confronting ecological collapse.

Unfortunately, our previous publishing platform, Substack, decided that our content did not meet their internal standards and took our publication offline. While disappointing, this has in no way slowed us down. We’ve chosen to move forward — and upward — with Beehiiv.

To ensure continuity, we’ve subscribed all our previous readers from Substack to this new system. If you're receiving this email, you're already part of our growing network — and we’re glad you’re here.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be uploading the full archive of our past newsletters — a rich record of stories, insights, and regenerative milestones from Dimbangombe Conservancy and beyond. It’s a big task, so we appreciate your patience as we rebuild the historical catalogue.

🐄 Holistic Hooves:

We’re also happy to report that Holistic Hooves is thriving.

We’ve welcomed our first cohort of sponsors — and are delighted that they are now following the daily journey of their animals through our digital extranet. If you’re one of those early supporters, we hope you’re enjoying the ride!

The Holistic Hooves Dashboard

🛰️ In the past few weeks, we’ve rolled out a major upgrade:

Sponsor App where the exact daily herding routes can be seen!

Thanks to our partnership with Farm Ranger, Southern Africa’s leading Satellite Tracking Providor, each sponsor now sees their animal’s actual grazing route, updated daily, with GPS-tracked positions as they move through the bush. This is more than a technical improvement — it’s the first time a regeneratively managed herd has been digitally tracked and shared in this way.

This new feature:

  • Gives you a live connection to the land your animal is restoring

  • Allows us to digitise and display our grazing plans

  • Opens the door to overlaying EOV data, so you can track how your animal contributes to real ecological change

Our next development milestone will make it possible to show both the planned route and the actual route, along with EOV data points — so you’ll be able to see when grazing pressure leads to improved vegetation cover or soil health.
